Meal Plan Monday- It's BBQ Season!
It's BBQ Season!
Grilling season is upon us at last! With summer fast approaching, we really like to take our cooking outside. While I don't do the grilling my wonderful husband does (I may or may not have been banned after my last disastrous attempt to use the bbq) I do a lot of the prep work while he mans the firey hot grill.
So today I am sharing with you a really quick and easy burger recipe that our family loves. I took my inspiration from Pinterest and then simplified the recipe. I apologize I did not take awesome food pictures, I completely forgot to last night (oops!) But here's the recipe:
1 lb ground meat (we use ground pork but you can use beef, chicken, turkey, whatever ground meat you have on hand)
1 package powdered ranch dressing mix (We used the clubhouse brand but the hidden valley is great too)
Mix the ground meat, ranch dressing mix and egg together until well combined. Let it sit in the bowl for about 5 minutes. Form into burger patties and place flat on a cookie sheet or plate and refrigerate for 20 minutes. Then take them out to the grill and grill 'em up!
We especially like these burgers with cheese, tomato, dill pickles, mustard, ketchup and mayo.

Monday- Cream cheese ranch veggie pizza
Tuesday- Caribbean Pork Chops
Wednesday- Hubby and I are celebrating 8 years of marriage we're going out for dinner! The kids will be spoiled and get Kraft Dinner (trust me, it's an amazing treat for them)
Thursday- Sausage Pasta (I don't have a recipe link for this as it's something we throw together from scratch)
Friday- Lemon Chicken Flatbread Wraps
Saturday- Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes with Sweet Potato Fries
Sunday- Smoked Pork Loin with Potato Salad, Spinach Salad and homemade ice cream for dessert (again I don't have a recipe link for this one but I can blog about it in the future!)
